An important part of the local community since the 17th century, with a well-preserved courtroom upstairs which held its last trial in 1839 and is now used for functions, this grade 2 listed pub has several cosy areas including a separate snug. Extensive, tasteful refurbishment has provided a welcoming, cosy atmosphere. Guest beers from various breweries change frequently, also usually at least one cider on handpull. No food at present.
