The West End is a great example of a welcoming, community pub, with a fine atmosphere and plenty of comfortable space. With separate lounge and tap room areas, it caters for those who fancy traditional pub games as well as those who like to chat and socialise in a homely atmosphere. Demand for decent quality, traditional cider has steadily increased alongside that for the well-kept ales, such that there are now a couple of pumps dedicated to cider. Weston's provide the award-winning 6.8% (was 7.3%) Old Rosie, with Rosie's Pig being a less potent alternative; also the delicious Perry is usually available.
